If they were to import these 3 games....sales would be through the roof 4 Vita

#1ELDuranPosted 2/15/2013 1:28:04 PM
Red Dead Redemption
GTA V
NBA 2k13

I can only dream. I know I would buy one for sure if these three were in.

Import =/= Port

GTA5 is the only that would make a major impact. I'd buy the **** out of RDR on Vita though....

You are delusional if you think any port would drive sales. People wont buy a handheld to Play a game they can play on a console they already own. A ff7 remake would save the sytem or an act of God.

they probably would drive sales up slightly in america, but sales in japan would remain abysmal

In all fairness, I used to say the same thing. I have however realized that people will buy the game again for a handheld. I don't know why but they will. If GTA V was also available for Vita, it would be the only one I would buy. RDR I borrowed from my lil cousin, I would buy it for the Vita. NBA2K13 well sports is my favorite genre, so even though I already have it for PC I would buy it just so I could play it at work.

What I'm trying to say is, people will spend money again for games they already own on another system for a reason or another. But then again, you could be right, and I'm just delusional! =)

"Red Dead Revelations"
"GTA 5 Stories"

Those are the games that would drive sales, not inferior ports to games already on consoles. Those are worthwhile additions to the library but wouldn't sell significantly.

Agreed. This is the same reason we need a new Elder Scrolls Travels game for the vita as opposed to a port of Oblivion or Skyrim. And a mini-fallout, as well.

A decent Final Fantasy title (like that long-ago announced FFX HD), or another high-quality JRPG would drive sales in Japan... but I think Squeenix needs to re-invent themselves if they want to be relevant again.

Seriously, just a few exclusives would go a LONG way.

And (say it with me) a price drop on the system and memory. Wake up, Sony. It's clearly time.
