If the pricecut only causes small, short spike in sales, then what?

You must live a very empty pathetic life that you made it your life's purpose to see Vita fail you must be an embarrassment to your family.

No. Price cuts usually cause larger spikes in sales, then higher averages for months/years (see PSP, DS, 3DS).

Games cause small/large spikes in sales, then a return to normal a few weeks later.

I know you're just trying to troll, but at least try to make sense.

Then developers see that more people own Vita's and start making games, then people see these Vita games and start buying more Vita's, then developers start making even more games

only in Japan, of course.

Since when is it such a crime to own a Vita and a 3DS and LOVE both of them?

Ah~, Ad hominem, the best counter-argument in the PSW.

If Soul sacrifice doesn't help vita i'm pretty sure that it will either stay and suffer for 1-2 years before its discontinued. It honestly just seems to Vita is not wanted or people hang on to their psp rather than buy vita. I'm losing my faith here...

Because the safe money is on it doing just that.

Then we go on with our lives and play the games we like on Vita or some other system while harboring some slight degree of concern as to whether the Vita will be discontinued sooner rather than later, but then realize that it's not really worth the mental energy since the future of the Vita is out of the everyman's hands and go do something fun instead -- like playing video games.

If the price cut only causes small, short spike in sales then...
