This is madness.

This is business and Sony Vita business is trash

They cant really expect a handheld to sell at 249.99 when PS3s are 249.99

So by that logic. how can nintendo expect to sell the 3ds for $170 ($250 at launch) and the Wii for $130.

everyone and their grandmas had a wii buy then, so people bought 3ds as well. a lot of wii/xbox360 owners are now buying ps3 to play the exclusives and all. so they skip out vita for obvious reasons.

Thinking about it a year later, I should have gone with the PS3 instead of the Vita. Yeah, I enjoyed it, but like 3-4 games really.

Two different experiences. The 3DS has two screens for gameplay, a touch screen, and 3D!!!!!!! The Wii has the Wii Remote. The Vita is pretty much a handheld PS2.5.

Vita has to be if anything 169.99 max and 149.99 being the sweetspot.

If nintendo the leader of handheld market...did a price drop then Pretty sure Sony has to do it

@Joeydollaz

PSP cost more than the ps2 when it was released.

a 100 and 150 dollar price drop?

Not even that other handheld with it's cheap hardware had such a price drop.

yeah, because the PS2 had PSN connectivity and could cross-play with PS3.

People use the 3D on the 3DS? I owned a 3DS and currently have a 3DS XL and I almost never have the 3D on cuz it really just feels gimmicky and even on the XL the 3D has such a tight 3D zone that you need to position your head in.

Everything else the DS had so why spend $170 on a 3DS when you probably already have a DS? so $130 for the Wii over $170 for a DS you can play more games on makes more sense to me.

I don't think Sony wants to get customers in the mindset that you need a Vita for the PS4. That might get people thinking the price of the PS4 is console + Vita. Even with a price drop to $150 for Vita, customers would see a $550 to $600 price tag on the PS4 which is just too much.

So if Nintendo changed the name of the Wii - U, would they be pulling a U-Wii?

Give a 600$ console to people who spent 200-300 for their vita... yeah, great marketing idea. Yes they will sell more ps vita, but they would be losing even more money than they already are.
