I think he's talking about the financial sense of developing for the companies. Sony is clearly great to indie devs. They all say they are. Microsoft is known to be terrible to them. Oddworld isn't on 360 for that reason. Nintendo likely represents a middle ground, likely closer to Sony than Microsoft. Problem is, indie games tend not to sell on Nintendo systems.

It's not hard for PSN and the e-shop to be more friendly to Indie games when compared to Microsoft. I'm sure everybody is familiar with Microsoft's $40,000 patch rule
