Sure why not? I haven't played the series since Firered myself. I started with red. After that though It just became too much. How many pokemon are there in total now?

It wouldn't matter to me...I wouldn't say no to a franchise that sells...but I stopped playing Pokemon after the first one...I enjoyed it but never looked back

Well my 3DS i bought almost solely for the purpose of playing pokemon x/y... Would be pointless so no!
