this. 2.5 gigs wow. i guess if i delete some psp and psone games i dont play much anymore i can get it but geez.

Its Tecmos way of getting more people to buy digitally. The demo is pretty much the full version with restricted features.

If someone who was "on the fence" about buying the game decides to purchase the full version after trying the demo...they could just say hey I have the full game pretty much downloaded already, might as well just purchase the unlocker and save a trip to the store.

Tecmo or any company profit more from digital sales.

Yeah, there's no correlation for that and that's also not the reason.
