Vita game outsells main entry Dragon Quest title in Japan

Muramasa Rebirth outsold the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X during launch week.

What does that say? Is the Vita picking up? Is the Wii U absolutely floundering? Both?

THIS. 100% this. No one asked for an MMO FF game either, and both those MMO FF games were trash, so what made them decide to make an MMO DQ game?

It's not like DQX had already launched on another platform or something, right?

Clearly this is the first time DQX has been available to Japanese consumers in any form, correct?

That's true, but I thought JRPGs in Japan were noted for their heavily front-loaded sales. Either way, lol @ DQX.

both games were out on the wii, one of them is a very niche game and the other a huge huge huge huge franchise, i dont know about you but that does not paint a pretty picture
