Did you have a PSP? If not, then you have a lot of good PSP RPGs to purchase.

My top 5 Vita games would be something like this (not in order):
LittleBigPlanet
Virtue's Last Reward
Gravity Rush
Sound Shapes
Silent Hill: Book of Memories (screw the haters, it's a fine game)

If you like Metroidvania then you should check out Guacamelee on PSN, it's 15 bucks.

Also make sure you get Jetpack Joyride and Treasures of Montezuma Blitz free from the store. Both are pretty fun and good for wasting a few minutes with now and then. They even have trophies.

Lots of good stuff on the Vita via PSP.

Guacamelee is definitly metroidvania. PSO2, Ragnorok Odyssey and Soul Sacrifice is where its at for the action rpg/raid games. PSO2 is endless gameplay. Ragnorok is about 70-100 hours, and then SS which has a couple hundred hours in it atleast. That is if you like raid games.

If you're on the fence and have any remote interest in the Monster Hunter style of gameplay grab Soul Sacrifice. The demo thats on psn is addicting and has a fairly sizable amount of story missions and challenges for a demo, not to mention you can level up to 20 and upgrade your spells to level 3.

My top 2, which both has demos:
Gravity Rush
Soul Sacrifice

RPGs are limited at the moment, unless you count the PSP titles. Notable standouts:
Tactics Ogre
Growlanser 4
Trails in the sky
Persona 3

Keep in mind that if you are interested in ps1 classics, the selection opens up dramatically.
