Sony Store at Costa Mesa, CA

So I went to south coast plaza today to preorder a copy of Soul Sacrifice (last one for that matter). Afterwards, I decided to drop by the Sony Store to check on any clearance when I notice a surprisingly large area displaying/demoing the vita. There were 6 to be exact, 3 blacks and 3 whites. The black vitas were in their typical contraption with a metal protector at the top like those seen at Walmart and Target. I didn't bother with them since I already have a vita de noir (Emma), but I couldn't help but give all my attention to the white vitas. They bathe in magnificent beauty under display lights. I picked one up and was admiring its elegance when I noticed that there were no metal protector at the top. I quickly glanced over at the other vitas and true enough, none of the white ones had said protection. As a curious person, I popped the cartridge cover open and found a cartridge inside. It turned out to be PASBR. Other installed titles that I noticed that were cartridge base were ACL and LBP. As any broke college gamer would do in such a great turn of fortune, I pushed the disk back in and proceeded to window-shopping around the Sony Store. Leaving the store, I carried an odd feeling in my stomach. Had it been someone else, would the game still be there? Is the vita that unpopular that even a quick pick up and try became too scarce for anyone else to notice or maybe other people don't care enough to even try to pull something like that? Most of the employees don't even bother with the area. Anyways, I'm glad to be able to enjoy SS tomorrow. Really hope this game and KZM turns the vitas fortune around.

Sony basically has to pay people to play Sony Bros, so I'm not surprised about that one not being locked down.

And ACL is not worth the time to take out of the system.

But good for you for not stealing.

Maybe the white ones weren't Sony's but returned by disgruntled fanboys who finally realized the Vita has no games.

Ahah wow nice name! I've had this name since 2003 when I first started playing MMO games. Sol = sun, in my case. >=]
