I am thinking of getting some ps1 classics, but I am wondering if I can play them with a friend.

No, sorry that's not an available feature. PSP games support Ad-Hoc connections because the PSP had an Ad-Hoc connection feature. The PS1 had no sort of wireless communications like that at the time of release.

Oh ok, I thought so. Do you think there is any possibility for this later on?

Nope, I don't belive they are legally allowed to change of the code in the PSOne games. They would have to port the game to the Vita or PSP if they wanted to modify anything.
