Which model is worth it? I planning to get a Vita during my birthday.

Wi-Fi only. 3G is useless. You can't play online with 3G

I'm perfectly happy with my Wi-Fi only Vita. Considering how fast the battery gets eaten up playing online, using it anywhere out of the house away from a charger isn't recommended. You'll get a few hours out of it, but it goes fast.

As far as connection is concerned, I haven't heard anything about if 3G is faster than the Wi-Fi connection. But with the way things are nowadays, you'll probably always be in a hotspot when you want to play the Vita online.

Just get whichever one you can find for cheaper. The 3G is not really a critical function but I don't think it hurts the system if you happen to have the option.

Wrong, you can. Depends on the game though
Black 2 FC: 1593-5449-4573 (I am well aware the 3DS is region locked)
AMD Athlon II Quad Core 3.0GHZ | HD 5770 | 4GB RAM

If you have a Smartphone get the Wifi Model. You can tether your Smartphone to your PS Vita.

3G is a nice alternative if you don't have a Smartphone or have disposable income.

I can't remember the price of the plans though?

I have a 3G Wifi Model.
I am not interested in Smartphones but, I do have a Android player though.

Wi-Fi model if you're at all considering a video capture hard mod (the board won't fit in the 3G model).

Thanks for the responses. I go with the Wi-fi model. Can't wait to play Phantasy Star Online 2 on it when I import the game from Japan.
