The ideal third party would be Nippon Ichi. I doubt they they can afford it unfortunately. :-(

Let's be realistic. The most likely scenario is that Nintendo will buy Atlus. They already have a great relationship and the SMT x Fire Emblem collaboration gives them the most motivation.

That would be horrible (same if Sony bought it). They would lose millions of customers. People on 3DS/Wii who want Atlus games already buy them so they would not get an increase in sales, yet they would lose out on sales by axing Sony, MS, etc.

Less money means less games and less innovation.

So by your logic, if a first party would buy it, the employees that were going to make games for other systems would just sit in their chair staring at a wall all day long?
