I really like the Vita's buttons. They stick out further, and click down in a very satisfying way. Especially the dpad. I love that dpad now. Playing Guacamelee on PS3, it's just not the same.

The control layout is worse anyway, using the triggers for dodge and swap rather than L1 and R1. No idea why. But the controls don't feel as tight, and it's purely because the button presses are softer.

If the buttons were slightly bigger, I'd agree with you that they were superior to the PS3 ones.

Same. So when I play Guacamelee on my PS3 I use my Vita as a controller.

My face buttons are squeaky, and awkwardly spaced!

I do love the d-pad, though.

Does anyone else feel like the analog sticks get in the way of pressing the D-Pad and buttons? Whenever I press 'X' or 'Down' my thumb hits the analog sticks.

Yeah, I can see this happening. I angle my thumbs to avoid this, but in certain games it has messed me up a few times (Guacamelee and Wipeout come to mind).

My only complaint with the Vita's design is how small the buttons and d-pad are. They have a very nice feel to them, I just wish they were about 50% bigger and spaced out proportionally to that. I have giant manly hands and sometimes accidentally hit multiple buttons/wrong directions all the time. I find the trigger grips help a little bit but not as much as i'd like.
