Make sure you have USB charging turned on in the settings.
Make sure you turn the Vita off, it barely trickle charges over USB if it is on and it will take eons.

It's still much slower over USB even when it is off though.

I thought you couldn't charge the Vita at all via USB if it was turned on? Did they change that or was I wrong all along?

30-40 minutes for a full charge on my end.

over USB? I don't even think that's possible. A USB 3.0 port only puts through about 60% or so the power the Vita AC adapter does if I remember right.

Nope , that's about right , the last time I had to charge it it was so low on power that I couldn't even turn it on.

quit lying.

The manual says it takes about 2 hours 40 minutes to reach a full charge after the battery is dead.

It will take longer using USB.

Eh... to be fair my Vita fully charges within an hour after it dies via ac adapter. Granted USB would probably charge longer.

It takes 2 hours and 40 minutes if your doing stuff on it. If left off it takes 30-40minutes. Now charging via usb cable pluged into the ps3 or pc that can tke any where up to 6+ hours to get a full charge from empty
