People always pronounce it wrong!! When it was announced, they said they named it Vita after the Latin word for life. If you took Latin in high school, you would know that there is no letter W in Latin, so the letter V always makes the W sound. Therefore, you should be saying Wita and not Vita.

I've been calling it that since they announced it... I only learned recently that the entire world has been saying it wrong. Veetah sounds wrong. Sounds like pita. I like pitas though.

Nobody cares that the Latin word is pronounced that way, just like nobody cares that DS stood for Developer System and not Dual Screen.

no i tried resetting game i even start violent slamming cartridge on wall but all it does make static noise when i put into DS, the problem not fix! -ReconUnit

How does Sony pronounce it? Pretty sure that's how it's supposed to be pronounced.

It did during the development process, but they offically changed it to Dual Screen before the release.

If you watched the GC 2013 Sony press con; "Vee-tuh".

Maybe the accent but I sometimes hear "Vee-trr". rrrrrrr! xD Letter R
