The Vita could become a great RPG machine in the next year

We have five localizations of original Japanese retail games, exclusive to the Vita in the west:
Valhalla Knights 3
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God
Toukiden: The Age of Demons
Demon Gaze

Three high profile retail multiplats (might be digital on Vita but "retail-style" games):
Final Fantasy X qHD
Final Fantasy X-2 qHD
Borderlands 2

One not as strong retail multiplat:
Ragnarok Odyssey Ace

Two strong PSP localizations:
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - Second Chapter
Class of Heroes 3

At least ten indies (I have likely missed a few):
Rainbow Moon
Two Brothers
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Destiny of Spirits (I will count this as indie)
Soul Saga
Cosmic Star Heroine
Liege
Rainbow Skies
Hyper Light Drifter
Sully: A Very Serious RPG

Then we have three Sony-owned properties in Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice Delta and OreShika 2, all with potential or almost confirmed localizations.

I think just this is a very good start and is more than any other console has in their line-up for the next year.

In addition to this I find Atelier Rorona Plus and Disgaea 4 very likely.

Then there are many games without confirmed localizations. If we can get one Tales game, God Eater 2 and one or two of the lesser known Japanese titles (Exstetra, a Generation XTH game, Mind 0, Conception II etc ) then the next year will be absolutely golden.

Any RPG fans agree or disagree that the future isn't too bad for us as Vita owners?

Ahhh, FFX. I keep forgetting about that game since it seems like it will never come out. I think Japan got a release date already though, so it's a start.

It's funny, people say Vita has no games, yet defend a port to no end like MH3U, then hate on P4: Golden like its a direct, direct port. Hilarious irony.

Yeah I definitely think the majority of Vita owners want RPGs. I'll have to check out those indies for turn based RPGs.

We need tales and type 0. As well as God eater 2.

Than I can say the vita has a bright future

I left Sega and SE out of my calculations for a reason.

With Type-0, Lord of Apocalypse, Phantasy Star Nova and Yakuza Ishin in addition to what I wrote up we could have something truly spectacular.

I've been thinking about compiling a list of the vita RPGs, including what's out and coming. I would love to see it by category (action, dungeon crawler, etc).
