How would it make you feel if the Vita should have used BlUMD discs

EDIT: Would* have, brainfart.

with the slot natively capable of fitting PSP UMDs. The discs would only be used to install the game to the memory stick (which would be SD) or internal memory and be required to be in the drive in order to play it off the stick unless the game was digitally purchased. This would be done to save on battery life. The major benefit would be, lets say, a $10 lower standard MSRP due to the lower cost of using optical media rather than flash storage cartridges.

Urg. I'd probably have gotten it since I have a rather large UMD collection (it was impossible to go digital where I lived), but I think I might stick with purely digital on my Vita in that case.
UMDs were pretty bad, all things considered, but it would be nice to have TRUE backward compatibility, rather than having to buy everything again digital and many a title being simply unavailable.

Or even if switching to SD would never happen, they could include a BLUMD sized "cache" storage that acts secondary to RAM; if the BLUMD (like a UMD but with Bluray) is, say, 16GB, then there's a 16 GB piece of seperate internal storage, not even a high speed, just like 6 MPBS or so. Every time you put in a BLUMD and boot up the game, the disc whirs up and loads the entire BLUMD to the "cache" then stops spinning. Voila.

Bluray UMD. So like the PSP minidisc, only using bluray tech.

Hypothetical bluray-based UMD like on the PSP, to allow for cheap, high density optical storage.
