So I might be selling my Vita and replacing it with a Vita-2000

OK WTF. How come everyone is valuing used Vita's at LESS than used 3DS's? I just checked Amazon and used 3DS's go for $150 minimum. You guys are suggesting $120 MAXIMUM for a used Vita in nearly perfect condition.

Do people really just hate the Vita this much? SMH.

Don't wanna accept the fact that your Vita depreciates over time? It's true. I bought my wi-fi Vita used in excellent condition with an 8 GB card for $130.

I wouldn't bank on that 8 hour claim w/o games specified for it.

In one of these guys vid he mentions he really isn't able to notice that supposed extra battery.

but who knows if he has a faulty unit.

Hope someone does that game test where he stuck rubber that kept UCGA spinning

Halt! The 2000's LCD isn't as sexy as the original's OLED!

This thread is interesting to me as I am currently in negotiations with a backstreet doctor to replace all 4 of my limbs with cats. Not only will I get +10 AGL but also a massive extra 36 lives.

lol

@zand

Would you rather wait til you get a hands on with the actual V2K hits stores with demo units?

Then again, by that time, OGVs might have lower value in the used market.

Well yeah obviously I'm not gonna sell my current Vita until the 2000 comes out in stores. I need to see how that LCD and build quality match up to the 1000 for myself.

But idk, the 8-hour battery life seems legit to me, especially since Engadget later clarifies that they could get >12 hours playing PSP/PS1 games. That would imply that they achieved the 8 hour mark playing Vita games.

No, it's just that I wasn't expecting it to be valued this low. The Vita, which is newer than the 3DS and more expensive at MSRP, is valued lower than the 3DS is used. Used 3DS's are $150 on Amazon whereas the cheapest used Vita is $120 >_< It just bothers me and doesn't seem right.

If that's how things are and I won't be able to get >$150 out of my Vita with a few things, then I think I'll have to just stick with my 1000 because I do not find it just to sell something I bought new for $305 (collectively) for WAY under half-price.

OK guys so I'm revising my hypothetical deal here, assuming that I do sell my Vita when the 2000 comes stateside (I might not but this is assuming I do).

WiFi Vita (used but in great condition with a few hairline scratches on the screen and back touchpad)
PDP Trigger Grips (in great condition)
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Resistance: Burning Skies
MAYBE Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified
4GB memory stick

Now, for all that do you think I could cover the cost of a 2000? The 2000 should be around $200 or less when it comes stateside so yeah. $200 for all that? At least >$150? Maybe? :P

Buy a PS Vita adapter at Amazon for $20. You will have a superior Vita that can be charged multiple times portable. Common sense, really. The non-OLED Vita is so inferior, besides the battery life.

I got this:

http://www.gamestop.com/ps-vita/accessories/power-grip-for-ps-vita/102036

It's ok, they sell it at amazon too but it shows a different model. It gets a bit warm when the Vita is using power from it.
