Super Robot Wars Z3 nerfed because of the Vita's hardware capabilities.

"People complaining about the lack of different routes has settled down since they know it's Vita's fault for holding back SRWZ. in 2ch they are calling Z saga to be a cursed game because it came out with an ambitious goal only to be held down by under performing systems."


And...People are noticing this game's rehashes/faults here in the comments:

So we're starting to see the consequences of Vita selling terribly everywhere. And it happens with one of my favourite videogame francishes at that...a PS3 game nerfed down because it will appearently be a port from Vita instead of the reverse way.

Vita has way stronger hardware than the PSP, yet it seems that developers gave up on it and just copy&paste'd everything from the PSP... I have no hopes left for this system anymore. And after I was so hyped for SRWZ3, at that..

Seems more like it's a developer issue than the Vita. Plenty of games have rehashes and from what I read the Vita version was more of an afterthought when it was going to be for the PS3

"some idiot" isn't right to describe that, after many other people noticing the same thing. I would understand if that was a single comment, but they have evidence for rehashed sprites, and for the fact that the PS3 version will be an upscaled Vita version (losing a lot of possible content because of it).

Well the PSP games were pretty fine for what it could handle. Just compare that (SRW OG 2nd on PS3)

Chances are, what "some idiot who commented on a blog" says is probably more accurate and trustworthy than something that Sony says.

And I can't help but agree with what TC says.

The Vita is so powerful such that developers feel the need/obligation to make Vita/PS3 (and perhaps PS4) multiplats. But at the same time, the Vita is not powerful enough to actually match the PS3 (and of course the PS4). In the end, the multiplats are either
a) Vita version is clearly inferior
or
b) PS3 version is clearly gimped to make it nearly on the same level as the Vita version

It's a shame, really. Because I would like to see how the Vita would have turned out if it had its own identity.

You worded it perfectly. I don't see reason this game is releasing on the PS3 when Z1/Z2 were PSP only as far as I'm aware.

Meh.. Banpresto has always used old sprites and animation in their SRW games, but i donīt care as long as the game is fun & good. :/

Who said there won`t be alternate routes? Did Banpresto or Terada mention anything about that?

Regardless, I don`t think this would have to do anything with hardware since the Z games on PSP had multiple routes (heck, even Masou Kishin 3 had three routes).

Also, you can`t really compare OG 2nd to the Z series. Keep in mind those games are made by different teams, and they have different styles of animation. Also, how many years did it take them to make OG 2nd again?

THAT being said... Banpresto IS being hella lazy by recycling the stuff from Z2. I`m sure the Vita could handle better graphics, it`s just that... They don`t really want to put the effort.
