Do you think Sony will release a Vita PCH-3000 with OLED?

When my OLED model dies, i would like to buy another one with OLED screen. Maybe we're getting a new better OLED model in a couple of years, when OLED screen prices get cheaper.

How many times will you repeat OLED?

2D is objectively better than 3D.

It is a nice word OLED, OLED OLED OLED :D

I doubt it. The reason they switched to LCD is probably for cost-efficiency since the Vita isn't selling like hot cakes yet.

I don't know, but I sure hope the 3000 has a smaller size, bigger buttons that aren't clicky, and an improved D-pad(bigger, raised up higher) because they didn't change a frickin thing about the 1000 that I actually care about with the 2000.

I think it's possible.

On a side note, I was surprised the Note 3 (OLED) had 600 nits (brightness) and that's brighter than an iPhone 5/s.

The VITA seems to only have 170+ to 220+ of nits and much thicker.

We'll see.

I think there's so much that can happen with tech in 1.5 - 2 years.

AFAIK, VITA 2K only came out 1 year and 8 months after the 1K, faster than when the PSP 2K got released w/c was more than 2 years.

I don't know man, i like smaller size, but the screen size of the vita it's very comfortable to my eyes. I agree with you Sony did'nt change many things with the 2000, it is just cheaper.

I know it's a small thing, but it's not the width that bothers me about the Vita. That is what it is and Sony can't really do anything about it without making the screen smaller.

But the hidth of the system(from top to bottom) has that nearly inch of wasted space at the bottom where it says PS Vita that could easily be gotten ride of and some wasted space at the top, too. That small difference makes the PSP much more pocketable then the Vita imho and it would be nice if they got rid of it.

That said, while I am not exactly calling on Sony to do it, I would consider buying a Vita 3000 with a 4.3' screen rather then a 5' screen if it meant I could get a system the same size as the PSP.

OLED has crap life expectency. There's no point in using OLED if LCD is cheaper and lasts 4 to 6 times the amount of possible use before dying.
