How much data does Remote Play with PS4 use via SmartphoneTethering (Hot Spot)?

Does anyone know the average consumption per hour of gameplay?

Or is it better to just stick to wifi only?

I was told as long as you are one the same LAN it does not use any data, but to use it while away from home it will use quite a bit of data.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I'm not going to bother with tethering remote play.

I read somewhere that it consumes an average of 750kb/s, so that would eat my data pretty fast.

That would breach my 5gb limit in only 2 hours.

Not only that but mobile data ping is pretty bad these days. You'd want under 20ms and right now my ping is like 80-500ms.

Here is a video of a guy testing it properly, results show that it could work but I would recommend it for games that aren't perfect input dependent.
