The downgrading that would be necessary to make this work would not be worth it. People are really overestimating the capabilities of Vita.

Wasnt MGS4 like 50 gigs? They would have to cut a lot of stuff for it to work.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is the best PC game of 2012.

Well They would have to cut all the cutscenes out then it'll fit in a cart. The game itself is like 2GB the rest is CGI.

Uh... No. All the cut scenes are actual in-game cut scenes.

Cut scene is a term used for actual engine models that "act in a play."

The CGI you're referring to is pre-rendered, "pre-recorded video" which MGS generally doesn't use.

Removing all the cut scenes will not lower the file size by a significant amount. At least not on par with high quality pre-rendered videos.

Of course, removing all cut scenes would mean the removal of associated audio files as well. That would make a pretty sizable difference, but nowhere near the size of PSV games, I'd imagine.

This, itd be a lot of work put down into a downgrade.

Personally i dont see the point to it, id rather see a new MG tailor made for the Vita.
Like the Acid series or Portable Ops, or something new obviously.

I'd take a new AC!D or Peace Walker 2 over MGS4.

Doesn't a Vita cartridge holds up to 8GB instead of the usual 4GB?

Do you want to carry 5 carts around just to be able to play a very compressed and downgraded version, or would you rather have it be digital release only and have to buy or wipe clean a 32gb card just to fit the one game on it (and still be compressed and downgraded version)?
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice
