So how is Tales of Hearts R?

So now that it's confirmed to be localised, I just wanted to ask how the game is?
Anyone here played it? I've never played a Tales game before, how does it compare to the others?

Haven't played Hearts yet but overall as a series Tales is extremely underwhelming. The battle systems are good usually but the plot lines are just terrible.

It's one of my favourite Tales games, up there with Xillia 2 and PS3 Vesperia imo.

Currently playing: Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, Ryu Ga Gotoku 5, Dragon Quest VII, Dark Souls II, Monster Hunter 4.

The Tales Series is more of a character focused RPG. The story serves mainly as a backdrop to reveal the relationships and situations between the characters involved. Rather than them going through the plot, it's more that the plot is told though the characters. More often than not, they tend to be very interesting and entertaining.

The battle systems are a blast.

This sums it up.

It's a fantastic game. I consider it to be the best Tales game I've played. The other ones I've played were Innocence R, Abyss, Symphonia, Vesperia and Xillia though. The characters are all great, the combat is perfect, it has great music and story as well.

Is it as awful as Symphonia 2, or as underwhelming as Innocence?

Innocence was not bad....It got me laughing at least.

Tales of Hearts...I heard good things about it....but some prefer the DS over the Vita....manly due to the changes.
