The absolute best way to conserve battery?

Flight mode on
Brightness as low as it can go
Volume off

Would playing a vita game use more battery than a PS1 game?

Is there anything else I can do?

Turn it off.

Just turn off Bluetooth and WiFi and keep brightness low/off. If you're keeping WiFi on you should limit/turn off the frequency the email, calendar, messaging, friends request, and trophy's sync, and anything else that syncs.

Volume off is not going to help much.

Yes, some games use more power than others.

Vita>PSP>PS1 in terms of power usage.

yeah try playing with it off lol.

get the extra battery pack charger thing, or just keep it plugged in while you play.

playing with brightness all the way down an no sound is stupid.
