I played the first one and i enjoyed it,but i never got around to getting the second one and it seems like a good game for the vita. I was thinking of getting it but i want to know how well it runs first. So what are your impressions of it? Thanks in advance for any info :).

Everything is pixelated into 8-bit and so is the music.

Ha! Nah man, it's wonderful. I played it on my 360 when it came out and it's easily just as "good." Maybe there's technical reasons why it may not be as good, but the experience is just as good. And when my Nyko Power Grip for my Slim gets here in a few days, it'll be perfect.

From what i've seen in recent gameplays on youtube, it looks pretty solid.

Yea it plays really well; there are occasional graphical 'hiccups' or choppiness, but nothing game breaking. Honestly, I don't recall the console versions being any different as far as that goes; so yes- occasional frame rate dips.

Another thing I noticed was that, for instance, when you look at the bullymogs from a LONG ways away, they seem to be tiny little simple 2D sprites until they get close enough to start having some definition. This isn't really a complaint, since obviously if they're that far away you wouldn't expect 3D rendering in retina-quality resolution, but I it was noticeable.

As far as WHEN the FPS dips; hard to say - didn't necessarily happen when there was a lot of action on the screen; I think maybe when there was a lot of action AND I was trying to strafe and turn and shoot? I can't say for sure, but most likely it's right where you'd expect it to be lol. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Bottom line, it plays well. You won't be disappointed, especially if you didn't spend hundreds of hours with the console/PC versions. I didn't, and I'm loving it. Honestly, I think the graphics are better than MOST games out there for the Vita right now, occasional frame rate dips or no.

NeoGaf went from being super wary about the game to saying that it looks amazing and is the best Vita port ever in the span of like six hours.

Considering how GAF normally is, that means something.

Only complaint I have is the use of the rear touch pad, which is really not that big of a problem, as I got use to it in about 30 minutes.

Seems to run sub 20 fps most of the time but I can't say for sure. It does reach what looks like 30 fps on occasion but overall it's pretty darn choppy and that was only in the beginning areas so who knows how bad it gets later. It gets especially janky when you bring up the player menu.

Visually it looks okay actually. Lots of low res textures and reduced lighting but it looks unmistakably like Borderlands 2. There are definitely fewer enemies in this version, and you can only get up to 2 player co-op. It's not ideal but having sprint and melee mapped to the rear touch panel works alright.

I got it free with my 2000 and wasn't really expecting much so I'm not too bothered, but I would not recommend paying for this port. Iron Galaxy did what they could but this is not a game meant for this platform. I have since deleted it.
