When I got the PSP on launch day back in 2005, a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo was $149.99. I bought a 256MB card for $40 IIRC.

Now find a 1GB Memory Stick that costs 150 bucks today. Because that's the issue.

I remember when I got my PSP around for Dissidia, Gamestop had Memory Sticks for PSP at around 25 dollars, and they were just 4GB ones. Radioshack had 8GB memory sticks at 60 dollars. These Vita mem cards look cheaper in comparison. :/

The difference being about a decade. Do you understand tech prices?

The tech doesn't matter the only reason they don't use SD cards is for anti piracy. It's a proprietary device the SD card is the industry standard and has been it's like motherboards and then altering the shape of the chip every few years to force people to buy new comps and boards instead of upgrading their old rigs. No other reason than to screw people over and make a buck.

floppy disks were an industry standard at a time, you think the SD cards are going to be standard forever?

Anyone who answered D is clearly delusional.

Sony clearly need to lower the price to SD card prices. The price of memory card is definitely the reason the vita is not doing well.

Also seriously, 64GB memory card should be 30$ at most. It probably cost them like 1$ to produce those, there is no reason why it costs so much at retail.

why don't they lower the price to floppy disks prices since we are talking about price match with SD cards which are last century technology.

Err... I mean...

wtf tho is still a sony card why dont it fits in my sony handheld psp Vista

same reason a ps2 mem card wont work on a psx. and a gamecube mem card wont work on a N64, move with the times and get used to it.
