Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Not too far into this game just chapter seven but I am very very impressed by it.This is the first time I am playing an uncharted game and it is an amazing experience.

Yes I will definitely play them now.I had heard many good things about uncharted before but its just that I though it was not going to be different from many other action games around.After playing golden abyss I admit that I was wrong.It is a proper adventure game with all the solving mysteries collecting treasures investigating ruins and stuff very cool.Thanks for suggesting them.

The other games don't have nearly the collecting and treasures and stuff that this game has, but have more refined set pieces and better graphics (well, at least UC2 and UC3 do).

Anyway, definitely recommend playing them. I'd actually rank this Uncharted as the second best one.

I will try them out anyway.Can you tell me the order of paying them.Does the plot carry over from 1 to 2 to 3 and where does golden abyss fit?

The timeline goes like this:

- Golden Abyss (A few years before UC1)
- Eye of Indra (Digital Comic, takes place right before UC1)
- Uncharted
- Uncharted 2 (2 years after Uncharted)
- Uncharted 3 (4 years after Uncharted. But has some scenes which take place WAY before Golden Abyss)

@Nnamz you seem to like this game too so I am going to ask you instead of posting it on vita boards where I am sure that I won't get an honest opinion.What do you make of the touch screen controls.Do you absolutely hate them like so many other do? Personally I feel that mostly it is well done.The only time that I find them annoying is during the me lee combat.Otherwise they feel natural.

Yup, exactly in agreement with you. For the most part, the touch controls are great and make sense. Dusting off objects was cool. Making charcoal rubbings was also neat. They just made sense. Really, the only controls I had issue with are the pointless balancing on the beams (I wish Drake wouldn't stop walking) and the swipe meleeing. Every other time it was either fun, or passable.

Most people hating touch controls are one of two types of people:

A) They hate all touch controls in an attempt to distance themselves from iOS.

B) 3DS trolls who jump on any negative they can spin.

Anyway, glad you're enjoying the game. I really liked it. It's my first Vita platinum :)
