So this glitch is only in the NA version of the game?

I have the Japanese version and I've been playing with no issues. The Japanese Wiki doesn't say anything about any game-breaking glitches or bugs either.

Is it just an NA version thing?

Short answer: yes.
Long answer: Investigation is ongoing, and there's reason to believe that what's actually going on may be more bizarre than the above statement implies. But it's definitely true that no one has been able to reproduce the glitch without using an NA copy of the game.

(Speaking of which, I apologize to the others on this board for the lack up updates on my investigation recently. I'm still cracking the ALLZ format, but some recent family difficulties that have taken up most of my time in the last few weeks).

Ok, that means I can just continue on my merry way then. Thanks!

Though, it's a shame that NA players have to put up with this though. :(

Really really sloppy work on XSEED's part, though I have come to expect it from them. This is not the first game they have localized with serious issues. (that weren't there in the original version)

This would be the first I've heard of other localizations from them having issues. Could you say more on this?

Well from what I've read, their localization of Wild Arms 4 left the EX File (secret contents unlocked after the game) un-completable because 2 monsters were excluded from the NA version. It isn't a game-breaking glitch, but on the other hand, a lot of content in the game couldn't be accessed because of it, so it's pretty serious.

I think the WA4 message boards (where I first learnt of this) should have more info.

Indeed XSEED was very sloppy and there was no excuse for something like this to pass through. People like to pass it onto Ganbarion but XSEED had just as much of a hand in it as them especially since the PAL version never had the bug.

Way too many XSEED fanboys here but they have died down.

Ah, you again. The facts simply do not point to your conspiracy theory. What are you, anyway, some disgruntled XSeed ex-employee? I'll bet that's it, and hey, my evidence is just as strong as yours.

Your evidence is a bunch of lies and backtracking, just ask Wyrmwad himself. Oh yeah that is right, he disappeared after the terrible debacle of him trying to get the bug fixed. He was better off saying nothing at all.

He hopes everything fades away quietly.

What are you some disgruntled XSeed fanboy who can't admit to their mistakes? If anything you sound like you are working for them and can't stand criticism. But we already know that.

Get back to pretending to fix the glitch.

My evidence comes from the files themselves. You could do it yourself, if you cared to, though you never would; you'd be too scared to find out how wrong you are.

And what is this "disappearing"? He still talks to me. We've moved our conversation to private messages, because the things I've been saying here would violate the terms of service on the XSeed forums, but we still talk.

It would be difficult for me to be an XSeed fanboy, given that I've only played one game, as far as I know, that's even from them. I've probably played a few others, but I've never bothered to track the publishers like that.

(Actually, after typing that up, I decided to go take a look. Turns out I've played two others, and I've got one or two more on my backlog. All told, it comes out to a little under 10% of the games they've released, four of them before I even knew who they were. Still want to call me a fanboy?)

Criticism I can take, and in abundance. But what you've been spouting is not criticism, it is slander, and that is not something I am nearly as prepared to tolerate.

Get back to pretending to fix the glitch.

I can't fix the glitch. I don't have the tools for that, nor can I get them. But I am not "pretending" to fix the glitch, or, for that matter, to do anything. I'm only trying to find out why. And I dare say I've done more than you.

If you have not fixed anything you have done nothing at all. Otherwise there is no point to bothering to update us with your status unless you are that desperate for attention. Do me a favor the next time you give an update, do it when you fix the problem, otherwise you are wasting time fanboy.

Anything that proves you wrong = slander. We have already been over this before many times but you are frustrated XSEED messed up and I will continue to point that out. It is not like you are doing anything about it.

Don't give me that crap either about "moving to private conversations" because nothing will get done.
