If so, compared to on your TV, how does it look and play? --- Wii FC: 8197-8833-3892-6232 3DS FC: 3222-6658-7489

I have. Well, I would tell it looks prettier. On my hd TV, Wii game through the WiiU looks uglier, maybe I'm not used of the transition or Wii is not made for hdmi... On the GamePad, its natural blur make it pretty again.
But it's so small it's hard to read text ingame. And pointing the wiimote on the GamePad is quite hard, and force you to put some distance between you and the GamePad. An alternative is to keep the GamePad close, keep pointing on the TV. It was uncomfortable in my configuration because the GamePad on my coffee table is a little too low.

LCD and LED televisions both use LCD. The difference is that "LCD" televisions are generally backlit with compact fluorescent (CFL) light sources and "LED" televisions are backlit with a large array of LEDs.
The marketing behind LED displays is deliberately misleading to fool consumers into buying a new television. Now that everyone has an HDTV since their popularity soared about 6 years ago, they are doing everything possible to maintain new sales. That is not to say that LED is not a superior light source in some respects. But both can look excellent if the LCD panel is of quality.
Both are, in fact, LCD displays. If there is any difference for gaming, it's like solely because the "LED" display has a slightly more modern LCD panel.
But this is coming from someone who still prefers an HD progressive scan CRT to any LCD or LED display.
