Hiring Iggy

Has anyone figured out how to recruit/hire Iggy from San Mona. He mentioned something about Kingpin having an accident but havent been able to get Iggy available for hire.

Tried gunning down the Kingpin using manual fire but he cant be killed, (BS btw), so Im running around trying to complete every quest and get all of the available mercs, now Im only missing Iggy and havent figured out the trigger to make him want to join me.

Any help would be appreciated.

as i remember u have to get the kingpin quest first

you have to get the quest from Miguel to get the Kingpin to help you.
after you finish the Kingpin's quest, he will ask you to go to Iggy and you will get to hire him

Thats the thing, I completed the mission for Kingpin and he told me to go talk to Iggy. But the gun above his head dosent show up so I cant hire him. He mentioned something about "Kingpin having an accident" but nothing came up.

He wants you to take out the Farm directly east of San Mona (it's a drug farm) along the river there.

Well then Im perplexed as I had already taken out that farm. That quest also tied in with Dmitri. But I'll go back and look around again. There isnt some special item he requires is there?

I have a similar issue. I liberated San Mona and when I spoke to Iggy right after there was a gun-symbol above his head. I didn't recruit him at that point, but when I entered the world map and then back into San Mona this symbol dissapeared and now I cannot hire him anymore.

Ok, tested this and it reeks like a bug. Warping into world map seems to break Iggy's will to join you. So if you want to recruit Iggy, don't leave San Mona before you do so. Here are Iggy's stats:
