How do you tag characters in?

Haha, trying to do the tutorials, can't seem to finish Ch1, 6 the one about tagging your team mates in. I can do it to Filia, no problem. But then I can't get Cerebella to come out and stay out - she appears and does an assist, and then vanishes. What am I doing wrong? :/

^ This, are you sure you aren't pressing the assist button by accident?

L1 and L2 are set for assists (I forget the punch-kick combo it's set for), so when you press those, you use your teammate's assists.

As stated, MP+MK (Standard: Triangle + Circle) tags in one character, while HP+HK (R1+R2) tag in the other.

If you do an outtake (re: Snapback) using QCF command before pressing the tag buttons (ie: QCF MP+MK/HP+HK), you'll force tag the appropriate character.

It's both Mediums, or both Heavies.

Both Lights is Throw, and mixing Medium with Heavy will do an Ensemble Attack.
