Hey guys
Over the last few weeks I've been working on a beginners guide to helicopter. So far I've made 4 episodes covering getting airborne, control methods, basic manouvres and basic combat. This guide is intended for those people who have always struggled a bit with choppers and who are finding armored kill is luring them back into the cockpit.

Hope this helps some of you out

Thanks, Adi

Cool. I'm gonna check these out when I go home.

Are you going to do another set? Maybe advance?

With the latest patch I don't think its currently worth it to try and fly. The risk is great while the reward really isn't very great anymore unless you get lucky and aren't bombarded by MANPADS.

I have some stuff ready for the advanced, but I wanted to do something for the beginners who might be picking up the chopper for the first time in AK.

I agree that air vehicles feel a lot weaker now - however they are still useful and can cause infantry and light armor significant problems.

Also, stinger are much less common in vanilla. It's more noticeable in AK because engineer is the only real viable class.

Not worth flying unless you have ECM and big brass ones.

While your comments normally just annoy me, I find we agree 100% about this issue

the little bird or the Z11 never had two sets of countermeasures and it was still beastly. The new maps give an advantage to the ground troops over air no doubt , but the older maps are still open to flying helicopters IMO.
