new to this game...tired of AK47 lolz

hey guys, i'm new to this game cuz i JUST got it like 4 days ago.

I finished the story yesterday and i am playing the online. I'm sorry in advance if this question turns out to be lame but...

When i'm playing my "support" class, my main weapon loads up 80% of the time with an AK47 and then 20% an M16 with an iron sight attachment thingy i earnt later on...sometime before i can't remember.

How do i make my loadout permanently the M16 i got with the attachement i earnt? Its always most of the time an AK. I tried weapon switching when i die but all i get are AKs and a shotgun.

HELP!!!

to get the M16 unlocked full time you have to get a service star on that kit and unlock everything else first. Just play assault for a few days and be sure to do alot of reviving and med pack tossing and you should have it in no time. Also try using some of the new guns you unlock in the mean time, the M416 is pretty good and so is the F2000

Umm...Err....each side has faction specific weapons.
Ruskies get the PRK-74M, not the AK-47.
Yanks get the M27 IAR, not the M16.
When you're in the spawn menu, gettin' ready to deploy and junk, press the round Square button on your controller. This will bring up the customization menu for your soldier. You can choose what attachments you want from there.

The AK74M is the default starting weapon for the assault class when playing as the RUSSIAN faction.

The M16 A3 is the default starting weapon for the assault class when playing as the US faction.

After you finish unlocking all weapons for the assault class, you will unlock each of those guns for the opposite faction so you can use either one regardless of what side you are on. I know how annoying this is, but you just have to deal with it. It helps when you unlock the M16a4 later on because it is not faction specific and even though it is burst fire, still a beast.

RDS + underslung rail + heavy barrel/laser/suppressor = kill machine

I wrote this thinking that when he said "my 'support' class" that he actually meant the Support class.

Well the thing is that those are the starter weapons you get at the begining for each side for the assault not support.  US has the M16A2 and the Russians get AK-74M you need to keep using that class to unlock more new toys that can be used by both sides.  The las unlock for assault is using that starter weapon of the opposite side.

Alright, the Russians have their commie weapons, and the Yanks get their expensive toys. You can't switch country weapons until you reach the first service star for the respective class.
