I need help on the ship mission called "The Chase"

How are you supposed to destroy the three forts on shore from the ship without getting destroyed from the morter fire?

you have to time all your movements and also be able to use the full stop and what not.... it takes awhile to get the mission cleared... i had trouble with it too till i got used to using the full stop

1. Use your broadside cannons to take it down, not the sniper cannons

2. Stay the hell away from the spash downs.


Using this simple method I only took 1/3 damage before beating the mission.
