CharpandaV1Posted 1/21/2013 8:28:32 PM | Wrong- change the gameplay mechanics; specifically free-running --- "...Pretty much boosting your boosting"-- DeliciousJello Official Daniel Cross of the ACIII boards |
Nar_GarzhvogPosted 1/21/2013 9:24:12 PM | Wrong- I hate the free running in cities. I guess I should say I liked it until I went into the frontier. Then I saw how awesome they did there and was kind of mad they couldn't transfer that in town as well. --- Have a nice day --- Garzhvog |

4nationfuryPosted 1/21/2013 10:55:54 PM | Sorry for the length of this.
Right- Graphics have improved nicely. Right- The epilogue. The game narrative comfortably builds itself. And we get to play Haytham Conway. Right- The well written Homestead missions. Right- The Tomahawk is brilliant. Right- Double assassinations and other kill animations. Right- Rope dart. Thank you Shao Jun. Right- Naval missions. Do I really need to explain? Right- Frontier exploration/tree running. Right- Multiplayer, while there are bad players, is still my type of multiplayer. Right- Soundtrack. It's not Jesper Kyd, but it is still really good.
Wrong- Fragmented story. Lacks the polish of Ezio's trilogy. Wrong- Some awkward missions (Revere ride anyone?) Wrong- Glitches and bugs. Wrong- Redcoats' dying so often from a kick? Wrong- Connor being nerfed in cutscenes. Wrong- Ridiculously hard multiple requirements for 100% on missions. Wrong- Rooftop running discouraged.
The okays- Combat is more difficult, fluid, and exciting. I'm not a fan of how the lack of enemy healthbars means if I'm interrupted before the death animation they shrug off the dozen stab wounds I inflicted on them. The okays- The ending- I actually enjoyed the ending for the most part. But the last minute itself was just too rushed and abrupt. So I don't hate it, but I won't gush about it either. The okays- Crafting. Personally find crafting a chore and made my money other ways. But I had a ton of fun crafting weapons for my arsenal. The okays- Brotherhood. Love the abilities and the personalized missions. I dislike that customization for them is gone and Level 11 is anticlimactic. |

That's called a prologue, not an epilogue. And it's Haytham Kenway. --- PSN: Thomme |
