What happens if you don't have a UPlay Passport?

I bought this game preowned and the extra mission code was unused, however, the Uplay passport has been used by the previous owner and I"m just wondering if it's required to access multiplayer? If not, does anyone have a spare Uplay passport code? EU/UK PSN account only though..

No it's not. You just can't buy anything from the MP store after you pass level 10.

You really don't need it, unless you want to play a lot of MP.

Thought it only let you play till level 10.

Nope. You can get all MP trophies without the pass. That includes the reach level 20.

I'm not really after the trophies but rather I just wanted to play the MP as I found it very interesting when I watched a friend play it..

If you want to fully experience MP, you'll want to get the passport.

You can still have fun without it.
