Plot Discussion **MAJOUR SPOILERS**

#1Unpure_EuphoriaPosted 12/5/2012 11:18:42 AM
The end to the present plot in this game was abysmal. I have no issue with Desmond dying, I have no quarrel with Juno saving the Earth with methods that aren't explicitly explained. But it all couldn't have been more anti-climatic. No epic scene, no awesome effects, no trouble, no last-minute hurdle. He sticks his hand on a pedestal, gets zapped, and Juno walks into the foreground. I mean come on, really.

That aside, I haven't really seen much (or any) talk about what happens afterwards. I've seen plenty of people asking about the pivots from a gameplay point of view ("what do I do?"), but not from a lore or plot view. Is anyone else excited like me to see what kind of role Erudito will play?

They have long since been an idea from the AC team, clearly. They have made contact with Desmond and the Abstergo patients from the multiplayer section of the storyline. It seems pretty obvious to me with their increased presence in this title that they may be the new protagonists of coming titles, but in what respect do you guys think?

Will we be shown who they are or what they look like, or will we only ever know their voice and messages? With the "uploaded to the cloud" plot mechanic, Ubisoft could effectively give us a game that is 100% "in the animus" without ever showing us who is controlling it anymore. I'm sure many people are open to this idea.

Will they have the same overall goal as the Assassins? Will they become at odds with the Assassins?

How will Abstergo fair now that Dr. Jerkface is dead? I know they won't crumble, but I mean do you think they will still pose a big threat in the next game? Will a new face of Abstergo be introduced?

There are a million topics about "where AC4 will take place," but not many (that I've seen) encourage discussion of the present plot of AC. I know many of you don't like it, but for those of us that do, let us discuss!

I just want AC4 to satisfy all the whiners complaining that this game sucks. >_>

Anyhoo, I really hope William dies. I hate that guy.

Plus I want my cute goth girl gunslinging assassin and destructed jerk male assassin to be the protagonist. Maybe use the Altair II with Gavin off the coast of Japan and maybe free-roam there and New York (Modern-Day) and visit more areas in Modern Day and give us more time there instead of a mission here and there. Hell, maybe visit old settings from books and comics and past games just in a modern setting (Dubai, Masayf, Syria). I mean we already did Monterrigioni.

And for the love of Ai, let us face Templar Agents for once!!! I mean what was the point of Multiplayer for ACB and ESPECIALLY ACR for?!?!?!?!?! Each with their own form of combat and equipment and AI. But that's besides the point.

Sorry, I've been thinking of a plot for AC4 the past few weeks in my mind and got alot done. :P

I can't cite you specifically when it happened, but Erudito has sent a few emails to Desmond. In the multiplayer storyline from Brotherhood right up to AC3 (where it plays a much, much larger role) you can see Erudito messing about with Abstergo. Many emails refer to them.

I don't know what the "pivots" even are, let alone how Erudito factors into the actual plot of this game. I assumed that Erudito was a team of Assassin hackers, and the only times I've seen anything about them in AC3 have been some lines in the multiplayer side of things.

The Erudito so far have not been given any connection the Assassins. It is never said they have a connection to them, just that Erudito oppose Abstergo. Not even the Templars, mind you. They're definitely very smart people - I think of them akin to Anonymous in real life.
