Smoke bombs are great for single player only, they should do away with them in mp.

I voted that they should stay. Having a hard stun ability promotes stealthier gameplay by deterring people from rush killing. Getting smoked might be annoying but consider the consequences of not having any hard stun ability before you vote.

I agree with what Hakeem said. It's true, there needs to be a directly aggressive defensive ability to curb things such as that and I want to vote yes because Smoke needs to be properly balanced rather than removing it. Problem is, the devs have shown quite consistently that they have no clue how to balance smoke bomb at all (removing ALL other directly defensive abilities and pumping up the cooldowns on ALL abilities IS NOT BALANCING IT @^&$^#%!), and smoke bomb that isn't balanced does worse for the game than removing it completely and putting in other abilities like Charge and Mute that have real drawbacks you have to play around.

Animus Shield is something that should've been in the game far earlier, but I still think it should be a passive. It's limited in scope, takes up a valuable resource, and allows for meta-gaming all while balancing the strength of Smoke Bomb's effect. Smoke should have a significantly higher cooldown than other abilities, should still have a higher one when crafted for max cooldown, and the other two crafting options should be pretty tempting too, or the potency of Smoke Bomb's effect needs to be weakened slightly.

I really don't like it just because I have seen players abuse the ability like no other. In Man Hunt all a team ( clan teams do this all the time) has to do is just smoke bomb and stun the entire time they are so called hiding. It takes the fun away from playing the game and you can't win no matter how great of a player you think you are. I know I'm not the only one who has experince this either. Please for the love of god don't put it in AC4.

That's how Manhunt defense is played. Would you rather them just lie down and die? Or, better yet, point starve?

Really disappointing that people are voting "yes." The AC4 multiplayer could be improved so much if this nonsense ability was finally removed.

There are a LOT of players that like their easy button just the way it is. That's the problem with a game like this - if it takes too much skill to play, it alienates the bad players. I just hate to see a game that's supposed to reward stealthy and smart play go to hell because when you get right down to it, it's more beneficial and easier to skip the stealth and lean on abilities.
