alec20Posted 2/1/2013 7:24:31 AM | I was thinking of replaying this again, because I did enjoy it the first time around (not as much as Gothic 1 and 2, but definitely more than Gothic 3 and Risen 1). The only problem is that I absolutely can't stand the rain/thunder effects in this game. And it seems to rain roughly 80% of the time. Even if I sleep for 3 in-game days, you know it's just around the corner. So is there any way to get rid of it yet? |
MadJak91Posted 2/2/2013 6:44:16 AM | Hm, I do not think so. I guess these are the only Risen 2 mods for now unless you make the mod yourself. drclaeysPosted 2/7/2013 5:50:41 AM | Friends,
I know what you mean. Its a great effect, and they have done a nice job. BUT, i just get sick of it.
usually I just find a bed and go back to sleep the next day, and if its raining again, I sleep until the next day, and again, and again.
Waiting until a nice day. I play on the ps3, so we dont have all the nice functions as the pc guys do. So I really need to see CLEAR, if something is sneaking up on me.
thank you for sharing. Good luck. --- Dr. Darrell of Michigan. |
MadJak91Posted 2/8/2013 10:47:26 AM (edited) | Yeah, it is true. Actually, I observed that this issue is present in most PB games. I know I noticed it in the first Risen and also Gothic 3. It is better in G1 and G2 though but still happens sometimes... --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game http://steamcommunity.com/id/jaccob5/ |
alec20 (Topic Creator) Posted 2/11/2013 12:23:16 AM | Well, I found a quick way to get around it. Using the command console, I just change the time (I set it to 800, or 8am). This instantly pretty much skips forward a day or whatever, and the rain usually goes away. If it doesn't, just do it again. This is the best method I've found. There is also a weather command, but I couldn't get it to work as well as I wanted to. |
MadJak91Posted 2/12/2013 5:09:10 AM | Hm, that is one solution... --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game http://steamcommunity.com/id/jaccob5/ |
