Fantastic Set of Sliders

#1RedBullWingsPosted 9/5/2011 2:45:44 PM(edited)
I have been testing various different slider sets from users around the web and think I have finally found a great combination.

Game Options

Difficulty: All-Pro (This is important. The only thing that this actually affects is the computer's awareness. Everything else is set through the sliders, so make sure the difficulty is set to all-pro BEFORE setting the sliders, because after setting the sliders it will set itself to custom.)
Quarter Length: 10 Minutes
Accelerated Clock: On
Minimum Playclock Time: 20 Seconds
Injuries: 10
Fatigue: 68
Game Speed: Slow
Speed Threshold: 0

Penalties

Offside: 50
False Start: 54
Holding: 53
Facemask: 55
Clipping: 54
Roughing the Passer: 54
All others set to 100

Special Teams

FG Power: 50
FG Accuracy: 40
Punt Power: 50
Punt Accuracy: 50
Kickoff Power: 47

Auto-Subs (In/Out)

QB: 0/5
RB: 72/77
WR: 72/77
FB/TE: 60/65
OL: 0/5

DE: 80/85
DT: 80/85
LB: 60/65
CB: 20/25
S: 20/25

Sliders (Human/CPU)

Passing:

QB Accuracy: 15/75
Pass Block: 0/0
Catching: 45/50

Rushing:

Break Tackles: 45/50
Runblocking: 5/50
Fumbles: 25/50

Pass Defense:

Pass Reaction: 30/75
Interceptions: 45/50
Pass Rush: 0/50

Rush Defense:

Rush Reaction: 0/50
Blockshedding: 25/0
Tackling: 50/50

These sliders IMO make the game difficult (above all-pro) without making the computer cheat (all-madden) to win. So these sliders are best for people who find all-pro too easy, but all-madden to difficult. Try them out and post back here!

They are as close to realistic as I have ever played. I play very well and across two games I went 34-38 and 27-20 against the CPU. If you are looking for a realistic experience that is difficult but not cheap I highly recommend giving them a try.

I'm willing to try these out. I'm not a great Madden player, so I might find these a bit hard and tweak them a little.

I don't agree with your Falst Start setting, I had it set to only 52 with my personal sliders and saw 5-7 Falst Starts a game, and it was only on the opposing team. 51 seems to be better for me personally.

I get about 3-5 a game. But that is accurate with a real NFL game, so I am happy with it.

That's what I get with 51, but even last year, that slider was particularly finicky. And don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying you were wrong, just in my own experiences, it happened far too often at just 52.

I'll post my results:

(I'm not saying your sliders are wrong, I am most likely a worse madden player than you are, but these are my results)

NO (cpu) vs SD (me)

17 - 14

P. Rivers 9/26 - 112 yds - 1TD - 3 INT
D. Brees 22/38 - 357 - 2 TD - 3 INT

R. Mathews 24 car - 53 yds - 0 TD
M. Ingram 14 car - 34 yds - 0 TD

V. Jackson 3 rec - 21 yds - 0 TD
D. Henderson 9 rec - 179 yds - 1 TD

================================

It seems that the CPU had a pretty accurate game (individual stats are a little exaggerated) but only scoring 17 points seems a little low for a 300+ yd passing game.

I really struggled with it. I couldn't generate a pass rush (RS didn't work at all to try to get to the QB). It was hard to establish the run. My O-line opened a hole, but when I got to it, the DL-man would shake off my blocker and tackle me for a 2 yard gain. Play action was non existent because I would be tackled by the time the play action animation was over.

FOR ME PERSONALLY: I would probably increase my Player Skill sliders by 15% or so.

Penalties seemed ok. A few holds, a few false starts, but nothing cheap or over the top that changed the outcome of the game.
