So the "Meruru Mix Pack" is apparently only 135KB?

Meaning what? The 200 songs that it provides are already on the disk? Or it's going to auto-download the five song packs that were available for Totori when you load up the game?

For the answers to these and other questions, I need to wait for my copy of the game (and to impulse-spend the $2.99. Probably worth it as a sound test for games that will never come out in a language I can read, regardless.)

The text blurb on it: "Now introducing a stupendously large and luxurious collection of historic Atelier background music! From Salburg to Arland, this collection of over 200 songs is sure to please any true Atelier fan!"

And on a similar note, the way they word the character DLC may sucker me into spending money on THAT on later playthroughs ...

"The ultra-perfectionist butler Rufus joins the team! With his disciplinary whip in hand, he's here to support Meruru in her efforts! This will allow you to recruit the in-game character Rufus into your party and experience all new character-related events."

Dammit, if they actually included exclusive cutscenes for the extra characters, I need that stuff. :D

Most likely, it's already on the disc.
It's common for these types of games (a lot of games, actually). It's just how it is, nowadays.
It's cheap, dirty and shameless, but if I have extra money in my PSN wallet... I say "screw it" and buy a couple of things.

Whether it's on the disc or not... if you want it, you'll probably end up buying it anyway.

Well considering the file size, probably it's on the disk since 200 songs usually takes up a lot of space.

Then again they give us a lot of songs to begin with, and it's kind of cheap for the rest of them.

So is it like every song from the entire Atelier series or something?

Nodnod. If I'm going to get it anyway, at least this way I don't waste an extra gig of hard drive space on the download. :) Most likely they just dragged and dropped the five Totori packs onto the disk and called it a day.

If that's the case, the songs offered are the ones listed here:

And honestly, since an official soundtrack with just a dozen of the "Type-0" Remixes can easily go for $20+ by itself, I can't really pass up that much tunage for three bucks. A lot better than the $15 it all cost on Totori.

Does it have Mana Khemia?

It should, if it's the same content. The Mana Khemia games are considered (A9) and (A10) of the Atelier series if I remember my numbers (with Meruru being A13). The third battle track pack offered in Totori had the battle themes from Mana Khemia and the original Rorona in it.

I'm more curious if they'll include the ability to change music mid-battle this time around. Don't expect they'll offer any tunes outside of the Atelier / Battle themes from before, since there's over 200 songs/remixes from the complete collection of Totori packs.

Meruru is 13, however I do not believe Mana Khemia is considered A9 and A10.

Because in order I believe it's this-

Atelier Marie, Atelier Elie, Atelier Lilie, Atelier Judie, Atelier Violet, Atelier Iris 1, Atelier Iris 2, Atelier Iris 3, Atelier Rorona, Atelier Judie, Atelier Totori, Atelier Violet - The Memories of Ultramarine, then finally Atelier Meruru.

If you add Mana Khemia then Meruru would be 15 instead of 13.

But yes they do have Mana Khemia.

Also I don't know about the changing music mid-battle. I don't think you can but I know you can change battle music
