Are they like the ones in P3/4 where it's like a s-link, or is it pretty much just like DeSuO, where you just choose between 2-3 options every once in a while? --- Tartarus? That sounds like toothpaste.- Junpei Hey big bro!- Nanako

It's much more like P3/4 S. Links than DS1 where your responses didn't really matter. There's no dating though if that's what you're looking for. --- Mmm, this jerked chicken is good. I think I'll have Fry's lower horn jerked. It's used to it! Woooo!

Cool, just have to find time to buy and play this when I have to finish Persona 3 FES and 4, and maybe Arena if I get that. --- Tartarus? That sounds like toothpaste.- Junpei Hey big bro!- Nanako

Responses did matter in DeSu, if you constantly told Amane that God was evil you wouldn't get her path even if you did all the events for it, but it wasn't hard at all to get everyone to the values needed for their route if you just prioritized route character (and Haru for most of them) events.
This one is a lot more like P3/P4 though in that, responses are "stored" with values and you get mechanical benefits for ranking up.

The first Devil Survivor actually did have relationship points, but with a much more minor role and only for a few characters. Only Kaido, Haru, Amane, and Izuna have them.
Amane's and Kaido's determine if their routes are available, Haru's affects the effectiveness of persuading her to stay alive on day 4, and Izuna's determines whether or not she joins you on the appropriate routes. --- A wise man once said, "DODONGO DISLIKES SMOKE" Fooled
