Starting handgun, no upgrades, on professional I did kind of cheat though on all the main boss fights I used RPG's (had to spend money somewhere) still a pain in the ass though.

No Merchant on Pro was about as "hardcore" as I felt was worth it.

Minethrower, Handgun and TMP. No upgrades to Handgun. On Pro

I was satisfied with a Pro Run with only the Red 9

Knife only run on Pro. Only using non-upgraded handgun when mandatory. Completed it, too.

i've done a lot of specialized runs, single gun only runs, no upgrades, no store, lucky 7 run(look it up), etc..... for a while.
I never did finish a knife and non up'd handgun run(damn mutant Napoleon wannabe)
i've played through this game combined on gamecube and ps2 at least 50 times.

I imagine trying to beat Salazar with a stock pistol is like trying to punch the Cyberdemon to death (without Berserker Packs).
