You don't. Traversing the land is all part of the fun!

Actually you can warp back to town with Ferrystones, which you can buy at Gran Soren. They're really expensive though so that players don't over-rely on them.

Click your left stick while walking. This is DD's "fast travel" lol.

You have to use Ferry Stones.

They only return you back to Gran Soren, or where you put down a rift crystal (You'll learn about that as you keep playing.)

You can buy them from two people in town. Either from Fournival in the noble quarter in his Mansion , for 10k a pop , or from The Black Cat which you can only get to at night. It is located in the lower right side of Gran Soren's shopping area.. Though they sell from there for 20k. The guy also does forgeries which lets you duplicate some items for a big chunk of cash.

You can occasionally get a free Ferrystone from the rift cluster outside the Pawn Guild in Gran Soren. It'd be on the ground in the middle of the hexagonal stone cluster. (Your pawns may have picked it up , so check their inventory as well.)

exactly... some games are made to be played in easy mode, this isnt one of them... which is why its better, in my humble opinion anyway.

Other games are "easy mode" if you count boring as difficulty.

Travelling in this game is not difficult, it is boring.
