Put these numbers together myself from various topics on this board and the ps3 gamefaqs board as well as a few topics from Capcom's site.
Just to give us a general idea of what Arisen/Pawns will be out there. The number next to the class is how many people have said they will be ultimately playing as, or their Main Pawns final class. Does not include other vocations used, just final build.

Arisen
Mystic Knight: 22
Assassin: 30
Magic Archer: 25
Warrior: 17
Ranger: 13
Sorcerer: 15
Mage: 17
Fighter: 13
Strider: 18

Main Pawn
Warrior: 29
Ranger: 24
Sorcerer: 24
Mage: 45
Fighter: 27
Strider: 21

So, obviously, Assassin and Magic Archer are the number one choices for Arisen so far. All around pretty balanced.
Mage is the number one choice for Main Pawn by an overwhelming amount. Severely unbalanced lol.
Like I said, just to give everyone a rough idea of what were looking at thus far.

My Arisen is going to be a pastry chef and my main pawn a tour-boat guide.

Hey thanks for doing this! Very interesting, I've been wondering about this too.

I'm kind of surprised to see Mage so high for Pawn, but at the same time not. Now I don't feel the need quite as much to have a Mage Main Pawn by necessity since there will be twice as many as anything else out there.

I think I'll either main-stay an Assassin or Warrior for my first playthrough. Mostly because of Assassin having a decent balance but having poisons and bombs, which could be fun, and for warriors... LEEEEEEEROOOOY JENKIIIIINS!

Does this survey include the responses to this thread?

Just curious if I should add those responses to these results to get an even better idea of what people will be using.

My Arisen is going to be a mage, and I'm pretty undecided what to do for my Main Pawn.

This is making me re think my pawn, was going to go with mage and hire fighters as tanks since ill be aiming for magic archer.

Maybe I should rely on hired pawns for healing and aim my pawn at Mystic Knight instead?
Does anyone know if a mystic knight can use heal spells if equipped with a staff?

It does.
EDIT: To an extent anyway. That post was made after I wrote this up but I see a couple familiar names. Tried to get as few overlapping tallies as possible.

170 people surveyed across 3 forums. This board, the ps3 board and Capcom's. Taken from 7-8 different topics. Like I said though, just to give a rough idea more than deeply researched absolute hard evidence. I'm sure in the end it will be much more balanced (still think we'll see more Mages than anything though).

Also, pawns can't be hybrid classes so no go on that one unfortunately. And other than the couple odd skills that we know about here and there; Mages are the only real healing class.

:'(
Maybe I'll stick with my pawn being Mage for the moment.
Would prefer to be in some control over my healer spec and farm out 'tank' to someone elses control.

Maybe the general masses (IE those who don't tend to post on forums) will have a habit of making Fighter pawns?
