Unless the game allows you to recruit 4 pawns later in the game, I think you're confusing yourself and us.
As far as I've tried, you're only allowed to have 3 pawns. Your main pawn and 2 support pawns. If you try to get a 4th pawn, it'll ask you which pawn you want to replace. --- GT: xxBurningflamex Pawn:Saze

As far as I remember, you don't lose experience when you have more pawns out. Max is three pawns, one main and two hired.

I think what the TC means is that he has been only hiring only one pawn, not two from the rift this whole time, at least that's what believe he means. --- Never mess with Karma.

Yes to be clear, I meant i've been hiring 1 pawn the entire game. It's really paid off too judging by the quest progression i'm a bit overleveled.
