Level for Fighting Ur-Dragon?

So what is the recommended level to be at when attempting to fight ur dragon? What range should I be in? Im a level 42 sorcerer and I know that is no where near strong enough. Should I be level 100+ before even attempting?

sadly mage/sorcerer are completely useless for the ur dragon, the magic barely touches him. also, i beat the offline at about 58 in about 7 runs, i imagine i could do it faster if he'd drop some god damn loot for me.

I did it as a level 49 magick archer in roughly 7 runs also. Level up a little more I'd say and try a different vocation.

I did so as a ranger, but, his wings drove me nuts, til i realized i had to use my bow.
then i blew them to smithereens with blast arrows :3

Well crap. That does not bode well for me. Seriously, magic does nothing to him? It annihilates everything else in the game. What nonsense.

Yeah.. i found that mages are basically "lol" in the postgame
only thing they helped me with was the wraiths, but a ranger can take them down fine.
without being squishy as a donut.
as the person above me mentioned, if you want a smooth transition for post-game, just go magic archer, it uses magic damage for it's attacks so you won't be gimped, and you can still use magic with a staff if you want to. just only 3 spells instead of 6.

That just doesn't seem right. Th upper level spells are completely devastating. Do they just become useless later on or what? I'm the one controlling the spells, not the pawns. They don't really know what they're doing half the time.

The minimum level I say is 50 - 60

For the best strategy to fight him your main should be any class with a bow.

I went in with a warrior so you have to climb all over him to get the specific glowing spots on his body.

With a bow class you can easily annihilate him from afar.

The problem is it just takes to long to summon the specific spells that only damage certain parts. Thats why bows, like magick bows with the seeker bolt hits with precison and speed that I personally dont think magic spells can.

Ok I honesty won't even tackle him until I'm 100 or above just to be completely safe. I don't see myself changing vocations at this point. I really like being a sorcerer and am having a blast as one. Maybe I'll have my main pawn become an ranger or something instead.
