I keep getting attacked when I approach Maul. I have all male party memebers, and I've completed 'A Troublesome Tome' and 'An Uninvited Guest'. How do I talk to him? I can see he has a quest available, and I have to get Maul's Badge of Amity for a board quest.

Would it have made a difference if I attacked them while looking for the tome? 'Cause I think I did.

Generally speaking, attacking someone would usually cause them to become hostile towards you.

I've been to both places and never got attacked, my party is mixed.
Though bandits outside the foretress with maul always attacks. --- Dark sorcerer, king of dark intentions, sensual pleasures pirate, constant hankering for honey, sprinkly toes thrillseeker extraordinaire.
