I'm seriously tempted to gold DF more gold weapons just see.

You cant really. I just tried real quick and you cant even make hired pawns hold them.

What I'm referring to are the items with horrible stats as compared to higher tier gear. This same gear when gold forged becomes slightly more comparable to the same high tier gear that is also gold forged.

For example, a base lvl Gryphic Gold has str less than the Dwells-in-light. After gold forging, the Gryphic Gold has higher str than the Dwells-In-Light that's also Gold forged.

Reimi's currently rocking the golden bardiches - which are actually good!

My arisen is also rocking the golden archistaff when she's a sorceror. Together they bling enemies to death!

Now, if only there were gold bows.......

Awhile back I goldforged an Iron Sword to see how strong it gets. 700 wasn't what I was expecting. Some of the weakest weapons in the game are extremely competent when GFed. Even the damn Novice Breeches are surprisingly decent.

I wish there were aneled bows. What a silly word.

My Thaliah's been packing an Eclipsed Providence for some time now. It's such a good staff. Anything that's hit with anything is blinded and/or tarred. It even makes the almost useless High Frazil into High Blearing, only with freezing action. I think I've made her into a hell of a debilitator, and her damage output is better than I thought it would be with her limited magic. I'd be happy to elaborate if anyone cares to know. XD

While I was originally just treating this as a joke topic, I figured I'd mention I actually use GDF'd Rusty Daggers for my Ranger Pawn. The damage is decent and the status effect is often quite useful :)

Only just realized all this while equipping all debilitating weapons to help get rented pawns foe knowledge. Temps me to make my pawn a complete debilitating machine like Ric did with Veni.

I carry three staves on my MK when doing knowledge tours, upgraded just enough for the debilitations.
I still have Devilfire Groves 'Plauge' on my favs list, along with Veni.
