Fournival: Innocent or Guilty?

#1VirusChrisPosted 6/6/2012 12:38:51 AM
I currently have the Trial and Tribulations quest, which I got from the Duke's aide (which I believe is a story-related quest), and I'm not entirely sure what to do.

I know for a fact Fournival is guilty with his crimes, but for his Daughter to lose her father no matter how evil he is... I feel bad for her, even if she is a brat. No one should lose a father... even in the video game world.

However I don't see any reason to save him other than that, but I'm not entirely sure how to get certain facts to prove his innocence or find him guilty.

I've talked with Fournival's Daughter and have been given a petition to save her father, but I'm not sure what to do with it right now.

What do I need to prove Fournival's Innocence?

What do I need to prove Fournival is Guilty?

And what is the benefit of saving or forsaking him?

turn in only the petitions that say he is innocent, so I think the priest/his daughter/the guy at the wallfort place that you gotta escort and you can buy fakes from Reynard (a traveling merchant)..plus any of the documents in his house that say hes innocent or sound good

What do I need to prove Fournival is Guilty?

Ask the family you evicted for Fournival for their petitions and you can give the gift ledger from his house/get fakes from Reynard

And what is the benefit of saving or forsaking him?

I always keep him around, he sells the Maker arrow (1 shot to all bosses besides the main one, and does a decent amount to the Online Ur Dragon) plus those rings that enchance XP gaining, cheaper ferries also (or however you spell those travel stones)

Actually the Knight's Ledger always makes him 100% Guilty

If you didnt find it and give it to the innkeep of course

Less you made a forgery.

Wallfort Place Quest? Haven't done that quest yet... do I need all of them or most of them? And I have no idea where Reynard went too... he disappeared unless he appears at a certain time in the day.

So basically asking the Family is the easiest and simplest why to found him guilty. Hmm... at least the items he sells me are worth saving his hide.

And I can't seem to find the items in his house to help prove his innocence... where are there?

Knights Ledger and Chamberlain Affadavit are in Fournivals house. One on a table the other on the floor near shelves upstairs

Reynard wanders between Cassardis/Encampment/Gran Soren/Greatwall (If you escorted him there)

You dont have to turn anything in you don't want.

If you want him guilty ONLY turn in guilty items or simply the Knight's Ledger

Want Innocent ONLY give the innocent items and witness.

Usually the testaments from Fedel/The Priest/Symone are enough for a Not Guilty.

When proven innocent he gives you a discount and sells more things. Such as a cloak only he has for sale (Its nothing special)

Guilty = Dead and I dunno what else havent done it yet.

Can't seem to find them.

I already got Symone's and The Priest's petition and bought three Innocence Petitions from Reynard from that Encampment place.

Is that enough to help him live?

And how long do I have until the Trial?

I find it to be quite special. It is the only item in the game that shares a percentile of healing to the team when I use a curative on myself. It isn't game-breakingly effective, but it is effective enough at keeping everybody alive.

I used it up until the dforged tattered, at any rate.

The quest auto-updates and tells you how much longer you have. It takes 4-5 days. You can sleep a few days or do other stuff while you wait.
